A few months ago we did a Wellness Workshop with the School of Cooking at Martin’s Super Market in Stevensville, as we do every month. The topic was From Memory to Alzheimer’s, and we covered the progression of complications while also providing lifestyle strategies for healthy brain and mind.

Researchers at Oxford University found that B vitamin supplements had little to no effect on memory and cognition in people with low levels of omega-3, although for those with high baseline omega-3 levels, B vitamins were very effective in preventing cognitive decline.
Fish oil is a must for kids and newborns too, as it has been shown to support learning and concentration in children, and is regularly recommended for expecting mothers to support their newborns’ brain health.
The benefits of fish oil don’t stop with brain and memory. The omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil have shown to diminish plaque buildup in arteries, lower triglycerides, enhance insulin function, support immune health, lower blood pressure, make blood less likely to clot, are important for energy production, work as great anti-inflammatories, and more.
